Hub City UnCovered is a free, local news site for Lubbock and the South Plains. To help keep it free, some links on our site and in our newsletter are affiliate links. If you click one of those links and buy something, we may earn a small commission from the seller.
What that means for you:
- You never pay more. The price is the same whether you use our link or not.
- Our coverage isn’t for sale. Affiliate links don’t decide what we write about, what we recommend, or what we say about a business or product. Stories are chosen and written by our newsroom first, and any links are added afterward.
- Some links on our site are turned into affiliate links automatically by a service called Skimlinks. That means a regular link to a store or product may earn us a commission even if it isn’t marked as an affiliate link.
- Sponsored content is different. When a business pays to be featured, we clearly label it “Sponsored.”
